XDP has seen great use in addressing challenges such as DDOS attack detection and prevention, stateful load balancing and more.

In this talk Rony Efraim and Tal Gilboa present a solution architecture and API approach that show cases hardware-software interaction for accelerated HW XDP.

Their work is based on Mellanox hardware. They hope to elicit a discussion to further look at future capabilities based on programmable adapters.
