Nabil Bitar, Jamal Hadi Salim, and Pedro Tammela will present a talk titled "Drinking From The Host Packet Fire Hose" D/IPUs have been introduced to deal with high speed (1-800 Gbps ports). The authors look at such devices from a host perspective and present brief data on the offload improvements and more focused analysis of traditional performance improvement techniques (ZC, TSO, etc) and argue that we need to have a symbiosis of traditional approaches with the new offloads.
