IPv4 Unicast Extensions Project is working on extending the unicast portion of the IPv4 address space, including hundreds of millions of addresses that are currently reserved, or are very underutilized. This extension will make more IPv4 addresses usable for providing globally reachable services during the long transition to IPv6, reducing the price of IPv4 addresses to end users.
