Hi,
As previously announced Netdev 0x14 is to be held in
Vancouver, Canada from June 16th to 19th, 2020.
However, based on the fluidity of the current
conditions in North America and around the world,
the Netdev Society board is considering the following
alternative options:
- A virtual version of the conference
- A hybrid version which includes the conference
location and distributed remote locations
At this point we are actively planning for a virtual
version of the conference and looking at the involved
logistics. The later option can only happen if there
is improvement in the situation in specific clusters
where our community is based.
We will announce on the 10th of May(Mothers day)
if we are confident that conditions have improved
enough for any form of physical presence in Vancouver
(and/or elsewhere) or whether we will
instead be opting for a full virtual conference.
We will be sending out a survey to all registered
attendees soon to help us understand the community’s
preferences about the aspects of this (and any future
virtual meetings). Your participation in that survey
will provide critical feedback we will need for
planning purposes. So please please plan to spend
5-10 minutes responding to the survey.
The survey will be sent only to folks who have registered.
