0x14: New workshop, Switch ASIC Hardware Offload

Roopa Prabhu and Jiri Pirko will chair the netdev 0x14 Switch ASIC hardware offload workshop. Network Operating Systems(NOS) based on Linux-native hardware offload for network switching ASICs continue to gain traction. Recent inductees include the announced project DENT [1] that brings together switch ASIC vendors, distributors, system integrators and users. This workshop is similar in spirit to previous switchdev workshops. 0x14: First Tutorial! How to add XDP support to a NIC driver

Lorenzo Bianconi et al will provide a tutorial on how to add XDP support to a NIC driver. They will start with the basics and lead to the challenging issues a driver author would have to deal with. The mvneta driver (Marvell Armada 3700LP chip on Marvell ESPRSSObin board) will be used as an example. The tutorial will be interactive and dissect code samples while describing architectural challenges.
